What is the Jewish term “TaNaKh” and what does it actually mean?

An acronym for the different sections of the Jewish Bible consisting of 24 books.

FIRST: “Torah” the first written books from God handed down to Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy commonly are called the Law of Moses, given to the children of establishing a prophetic pathway of promise to Israel and all nations.

SECOND: “Nevi’im” is the prophetic books of the Tanakh starting with the former prophets like Joshua, Judges, Samuel and Kings when the tent of meeting was where the Israelites came before the LORD through a prophet. This book continues with the latter prophets that would staged taking place after the Temple of G-d was built in Jerusalem and G-d was bringing them His prophets to proclaim the prophetic to come! Daniel was placed not in the “Nevi’im” in the Hebrew Tanakh but rather in the “Ketuvim” writings portions.

THIRD: “Ketuvim” were all the other scrolls of writings including the Psalms which were many of the songs that Israel sang were composed by King David having established laments, prophetic declarations, praise, worship,
