Jeremiah 9:23-24 says: Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast in his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; (24.) but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises loingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the LORD.

Psalm 119:1-8 declare this relational purpose of God not from religious deception but by the instruction of God declaring: (1.) How blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who walk in the law of the LORD. (2.) How blessed are those who observe His testimonies, Who seek Him with all of their heart. (3.) They also do no unrighteousness; They walk in His ways. (4.) You have ordained Your precepts, That we should keep them diligently. (5.) Oh that my ways may be established To keep Your statutes! (6.) Then I will not be ashamed When I look upon all Your commandments. (7.) I shall give thanks to You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments. (8.) I shall keep Your statures; Do not forsake me utterly.

Hosea 8:1-12 is a prophetic cry to Israel and to "all other nations that would follow her religious harlotry by the assassination of babies" as sacrifices to their own gods of wickedness and pleasure declaring: (1.) Put the trumpet to your lips! Like an eagle the enemy comes agaisnt the house of the LORD, Because they have transgressed My covenant And rebelled against My law. (2.) They cry out to Me, "My God, we of Israel know You!" (3.) Israel has rejected the good; The enemy will pursue him. (4.)They have set up kings, but not by Me; They have appointed prices, but I did not know it. With their silver and gold they have made idols for themselves, That they might be cut off. (5.) He has rejected your calf, O Samaria, saying, "My anger burns against them!" How long will they be incapable of innocence? (6.) For from Israel is even this! A craftsman make it, so it is not God; Surely the calf of Samaria will be broken to peieces. (7.) For they sow the wind And they reap the whirlwind. The standing grain has no heads; It yields no grain. Should it yield, strangers would swallow it up.

(8.) Israel is swallowed up; They are now among the nations Like a vessel in which no one delights. (9.) For they have gone up to Assyria, Like a wild donkey all alone; Ephraim has hired lovers. (10.) Even though they hire allies among the nations, Now I will gather them up; And they will begin to diminish Because of the burden of the king of princes.

(11.) Since Ephraim has multiplied altars for sin, They have become altars of sinning for him. (12.) Though I wrote ten thousand precepts of My law, They are regards as a strange thing. (13.) As for My sacrificial gifts, They sacrifice the flesh and eat it,  But the LORD has taken no delight in them. Now He willremember their iniquity, And punisht them for their sins; They will return to Egypt. (14.) For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; And Judah has fortified cities, But I will send a fire on its citites that it manu consume its palatial dwellings.

Amos 5:14-20 is a stark warning from the LORD about the final times (the day of the LORD) that so many of the prophetic books display but because of our hardness of heart we simply cannot or will not hear these prophecies from God who declares: (14.) Seek good and not evil, that you may live; And thus may the LORD God of hosts be with you, Just as you have said! (15.) Hate evil, love good, And establish justice in the gate! Perhaps the LORD God of hosts May be gracious to the remnant of Joseph. 

(16.) Therefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, the Lord, 

"There is wailing in all the plazas, And in all the streets they say, 'Alas! Alas!' They also call the farmer to mourning And professional mourners to lamentation. (17.) And in all the vineyards there is wailing, Because I will pass through the midst of you," says the LORD.

(18.) Alas, you who are longing for the day of the LORD, For what purpose will the day of the LORD be to you? It will be darkness and not light; (19.) As when a man flees from a lion And a bear meets Him, Or goes home, leans his hand agianst the wall And a snake bites him. (20.) Will not the day of the LORD be darkness instead of light, Even gloom with no brightness in it?

Zephaniah 1:4-18 is another declaration of the day of the LORD, not in the false prophetic dreams of the rapture of a harlotted religious player and not of a bride who is set apart: without blemish invited to the wedding feast. This bringing a somber declaration to those foolish enough to not understand the prophetic times saying: (4.) "So I will stretch out My hand against Judah And against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And I will cut of the remnant of Baal from this place, And the names of the idolatrous priests along with the priests. (5.) And those who bow down on the housetops to the host of heaven, And those who go down and swear by Milcom, (6.) And those who have turned back from following the LORD, And those who have not sought the LORD or inquired of Him." 

(7.) "Be silent before the Lord God. For the day of the LORD is near, For the LORD has prepared a sacrifice, He has consecrated His guests. (8.) Then it will come about on the day of the LORD'S sacrifice, That I will punish the princes, the king's sons And all who clothe themselves with foreign garments. (9.) And I will punish on that day all who leap on the temple threshold, Who fill the house of their lord with violence and deceit. (10.) On that day," declared the LORD, "There will be the sound of a cry from the Fish Gate, A wail form the Second Quarter, And a loud crash form the hills. (11.) Wail, O inhabitants of the Mortar, For all the people of Canaan will be silenced; All who weigh out silver will be cut off. (12.) it will come about at that time That I will search Jerusalem with lamps, And I will punish the men Who are stagnant in spirit, Who say in their hearts, 'The LORD will not do good or evil!" (13.) Moreover, their wealth will become plunder And their houses desolate; Yes, they will build houses but not inhabit them, And plant vineyards but not dring their wine."

(14.) "Near is the great day of the LORD, Near and coming very quickly; Listen, the day of the LORD! In it the warrior cries out bitterly. (15.) A day of wrath is that day, A day of trouble and distress, A day of destruction and desolation, A day of darkness and gloom, A day of clouds and thick darkness, (16) A day of trumpet and battle cry Against the fortified cities And the high corner towers. (17.) It will bring distress on men So that they will wlak like the blind, Because they have sinned against eh LORD; And their blood will be poured out like dust And their flesh like dung. (18.) Neither their silver not their gold Will be able to deliver them On the day of the LORD'S wrath; And all the earth will be devoured In the fire of His healousy, For He will make a complete end, Indeed a terrifying one, Of all the inhabitants of the earth.

Zephaniah 2:1-3 gives us insights in how to prepare for these days ahead by coming back to the LORD in repentance seeking His goodness that we have forgotten to consider saying: (1.) Gather yourselves together, yes, gather, O nation without shame, (2.) Before the decree takes effect--The day passes like the chaff--Before the burning anger of the LORD comes upon you, Before the day of the LORD'S anger comes upon you, (3.) Seek the LORD, All you humble of the earth Who have carried out His ordinances; Seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will be hidden In the day of the LORD'S anger.
